Dora Receives 40 Under 40 Award
To celebrate an appreciated spot of normalcy in a year that has been anything but, Gulfshore Business recognized 40 rising stars who individually strive to improve upon their 2020 vision. Each year, the magazine selects 40 business professionals younger than 40, who are among the area’s most distinguished leaders. This is the 18th year Gulfshore Business has saluted young achievers in Southwest Florida.
What an honor it is to be among such an inspiring group of young professionals chosen out of hundreds of deserving nominees! One of the interview questions they asked each of us is, "What's the best advice you've ever been given?" I have noticed a couple trends in many of the responses. The first is that gratitude goes a long way. And the second: you need to be willing to take risks in pursuit of the dreams you're passionate about.
The path to success as a professional artist is not the easiest one I could have chosen. Every day brings new obstacles to overcome... anxiety, confusion and self-doubt. I'd be lost without the support of my husband who is always by my side helping me navigate every step of the way. My family, friends and mentors who have been cheering me on since day one, and of course all of my incredible new fans and collectors who have chosen to follow along on this journey.
