Kenosha Civil War Museum: Religion Exhibit
I have done quite a bit of work with the Kenosha Civil War Museum over the years, including the design of all of the graphics in their main galleries. For this temporary exhibition, the goal was to highlight the role that religion played during the Civil War. It was important that the aesthetic matched what was used throughout the entire museum, and the designs needed to reflect the style of the 19th century.
I absolutely love design projects that require me to do some research and mimic the look and feel of a bygone era! Its such a fun and unique design challenge to use old design elements in a fresh, new way.
DESIGN WORK INCLUDED:
- Design of logo / title graphic
- Photo retouching
- Design of 24 cohesive panels that made up the entire exhibit
"When we were designing our new temporary exhibit, "Faith in the Fight: Religion and the Civil War" at the Civil War Museum, we knew we wanted Dora's experience and talent as a graphic designer. We worked with her on previous projects and knew she would deliver. She listened to our ideas and was able to really expand upon our vision of what we wanted to express in the exhibit. She is wonderful to work with....so creative, dedicated, and professional."
